Meet the Creators
EarthEmpower’s team has scoured the globe to find high quality products made by incredible companies, cooperatives, and organizations. The creators of your products are stewards of ancestral and Indigenous knowledge, biodiversity, and our planet’s natural resources. There are endless barriers to their work being fairly and equitably compensated, but we choose to do our small part to ensure the people caring for our planet and empowering human rights are compensated for their work.

Love & Tea was born in 2017 with the mission to create high-quality jobs for rural Indigenous Mayan women and well-paying market opportunities for Indigenous farmers. Love & Tea products are made with seasonal fruits and herbs harvested at peak ripeness, dehydrated, and mixed into unique tea blends. Their single-origin and direct-sourcing model pays 3-4x times the market price to farmers, celebrates Indigenous knowledge, conserves biodiversity, and works to dismantle the colonziation system that has historically oppressed Indigenous farmers. Love & Tea is a tea that proudly dares to be different.

Capeltic—meaning “our coffee”—is part of the Yomol A’tel cooperative built on the Tseltal worldview of “The Collective Good Life.” By cultivating coffee through direct-trade, they defend their own rights and land as indigenous smallholder farmers, organizing to protect Indigenous knowledge and strengthen communities. Grown in the rainforests of Northern Chiapas, this sundried, robust-and-fruity coffee will brew a cup with notes of justice and dignity.

Ecosta Yutu Cuii

Ecosta sources their food, beauty, artisanal, and coffee products from 22 different Mixtec, Afromexican, and Chatina Indigenous communities in Oaxaca, Mexico. Their coffee is grown organically, at high-altitude, with agroecological practices. They incorporate agroforestry and conservation into their coffee fields, causing coffee beans to develop slower, resulting in a more complex sugar dynamic and ultimately a deeper, more robust flavor.

Meet plants, not plastic. All-natural ixtle (maguey) fibers grace Goshti’s brushes, harvested and handcrafted by Indigenous ñhañu communities. They pride themselves on working in accordance with nature’s cycle—harvesting in a non-exploitative way, taking only the surplus that nature gives. The flexible, enduring fibers naturally exfoliate your skin, gently clean dishes, and give hair a healthy glow.

The Peach Fuzz was created by Elizabeth Hudy in 2017 and currently operates out of San Francisco, California. The Peach Fuzz’s products make activism accessible and fun, giving you colorful ways to raise your voice and make participation in a movement as easy as putting a sticker on your water bottle. Of course, activism is much more than just a sticker, but The Peach Fuzz helps you get started and raises awareness in style. The issues we are facing in the realms of racism, sexism, climate change, mental health, and politics in general are devastating and honestly it’s often all so overwhelming. Art has given the founder of The Peach Fuzz an outlet to scream at the top of my lungs “YOU SHOULD REALLY CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO OTHER PEOPLE” but in a way that is playful and optimistic and life-affirming and ultimately invites as many as possible to join our cause. Remember kids - united we bargain, divided we beg.
